Just acquired a Graflex Ciro 35 camera with the low-end Century Shutter, self-cocking, and Graftar lens. Shutter blades were stuck open...cured with the Ronsonol Treatment. Flash sync for medium-speed flashbulbs is at 1/25th and 1/10th of a second. Found much to my delight that my 283 flash, mounted on the hotshoe, syncs perfectly at 1/100th. Speeds above 1/25th are black...1/25th and 1/10th are red. Number stamped inside on the bright metal, bottom of the take-up spool assembly is 529273. I assume this is the SN. I know this is an inexpensive lens, but found last week that an old Argus C-3 produced very sharp pictures...and also synced to electronic flash at 1/100th. So, I'll run a roll of B&W film thru the Ciro and see how it does. Thanks for your indulgence. Fred. |
