				| Today (1/13) the site was down for a while, and now this evening I can't seem to log in, although I can post to the board. Also, I got all pink flags by each forum on the Helpboard main page, and all pink on each topic within each forum. What gives? |

Couple of things going on. Leigh was updating the server, thus the outage.

Now, the Login feature isn't working right. He knows it and is looking for a solution. |

Thanks for efforts to upgrade the board.

Is there any estimate of when the board will be working normally again?

Nice to see that the signals on new posts are working normally again.

I still don't seem to be able to logon but can post a reply without being logged on. Is there any estimate when the logon feature will be working normally again?

Leigh is aware of that. He's fixing another problem first, and once that function is stable, he'll fix this.

His goal is to get a better BB program in place one of these days. All this is hopefully an interim solution. |

Yes, it's nice to see even a little bit of normality here.

I don't see why Leigh doesn't just upgrade to the latest verion of phpbb? It may not have some of the bells & whistles that some forum software has but it's deffinitely enough for here and the upgrade should be somewhat painless if not tedious. Although I can't imagine the size of the data base?

If any hel;p is needed, I'd be more than happy to chip in...

				FYI

Private messages will not delete. The delete function was working while the red banner was up.

				| It should be back up now; we have a bunch of problems to deal with in the database. |
