I've seen many questions and even answered a few about recessed lens boards for the Pacemakers. The answer is always "No"!
Well, on a recent spending binge at KEH, I saw what they described as a "Recess lens board". I couldn't resist and paid way too much for it. Got it today...
The answer is now "YES", there are recessed lens boards for the Pacemakers. It is black but only has the raised nubs for the Pacemakers (top & bottom), not for the Supers (sides). Which is a shame because I wanted it for my Super. A minor problem...
The recess is about 8.4mm or 1/3 of an inch. The opening is about 72mm or 2.8 inches.
The board is deffinitely stamped aluminum just like 'normal' boards. There is no number or name on it...
There is an odd cable release bracket bolted to it. Looks like a 3/4 inch long hollow hex nut into a bracket, held on by a nut. There is something inside, with a wire extending out the botton. I suppose this was to work along the line of the electric realease mechanism of the Supers, but with a cable?
It's a well made board and from the measurments I've taken, it should allow me to use my 65/8 SA on my Super, which is why I bought it... Now if I could only find a 65mm cam for it....
So, has anyone else ever seen one of these? Any idea who made them? If there's one, there must be more. It's an expensive proposition making those dies to stamp these things and I doubt someone did a one-off....

Okay, the batteries in my digicam held out, so let me figure out how to do this again...
I think that'll do it
And the cable release thingy looks odd because it's got a piece of scotch tape around it to hold the wire in place...
