Does anyone know if you can insert the front standard from a Anniversary Speed into a Crown Graphic? Both these would be the miniature version.
And by "front lens standard", I am referring to the metal side rails and not the piece that the lensboard sits in and the bellows is attached to.
I am hoping not to modify my existing Crown Graphic and instead modify the same piece from a parts camera.
Thanks in advance. |

The 4X5 standards interchange, so I would have to assume the 2X3 would, also. Only one way to find out -- try it. I don't understand why you want to do that, though. You would lose the front tilt. Is your Crown standard broken or missing?

I didn't realize that the anniversay graphic didn't have front tilt. Anyways, I am trying to come up with a method to enable both front and back tilts, and swings for my Crown.
My Crown is in perfect shape so I don't want to modify it if I can find a parts camera to do modifications.
I am halfway into designing a method to enable swings for the camera and, when I complete it, I will share the design here. My design goal is not to do any changes to the existing mechanism. My other goal is to do it with common garage shop tools (because that is all I have).
If anyone has a parts camera that they want to get rid of cheap, I would be very interested.
Thanks for you reply. |

Ahhhh---- an inventor. I love making things like that. Just can't help it. It's a disease of some kind, I think.
