No takers huh?
All I can add is that I have taken off the front plate of a Betax #4 before. Nothing sprung out, but I didn't go any further than that. I have no idea if it's similar to a #3?
Now, if it would happen to be similar to a #3, I would be interested in how they did the flash synch! Non of my Betax #4's have synch... I don't really miss it, but it would be nice...

That's good! I have a few #4's and they're all "within spec" A couple of them did greatly appreciate a little graphite dusting though.
One of those shutter designs I don't mind at all...
