Out of the three Singer/Graflex Strop 500 RGs, one of the condenser tops crackles when operating. So, I don't operate it.

I would like comments and suggestions on replacing the condensers in this upper power pack.

part number 40788P1 Capacitor - Electrolyic, 490mfd, 500v.
Swap the suspect cap pack to another charger and see if the problem follows it, check origional with a different cap pak also.

Thank you Charles. I have moved the suspect capacitor top to the other two RG bases. Pops/crackles anyway.
