One of my Anneversaries has a bellows that is in really nice shape, but the pleats want to stick to each other. It is one of the later "rubbery" looking bellows, probably vinyl like the Pacemakers. This only happens when I have left the camera folded for a month or so, then when I open it I have to carefully separate the pleats. After I separate them they are dry and seem fine; they are not sticky or anything like that. While I'm not completely sure, I seem to remember that the last time I put it away I used the lemon Pledge on the bellows, but I may not have. While so far this is only an annoyance, it is only a matter of time until it glues itself together for good.
any ideas about what I should doctor this bellows with? |

Wash it thoroghly with Isopropyl Alcohol and a soft cotton towel. This will remove all the old olis that are trying to become glue.
Be sure to support the inside with one hand while cleaning the outside.
Once clean applly a moderate coat of pledge and let it dry for a day or so then apply a second light coat of Pledge and close after it drys.
