I updated the Flickr album to identify incorrect configurations as such in the descriptions for each photo.
Namely the actuator arm does not engage the slider in the hole that looks so inviting.

I intend to use Flickr for quite sometime so at least it will develop as a visual resource for somebody in the future.

I've heard that Ronsonol lighter fluid can be used for sticky shutters and the leaves of such.

Would it be useful to eliminate gunk that surrounds where the cam is placed? Or the channel that the slider uses?

It would be applied one drop at a time using a toothpick or similar.

In my experience, Ronsonol (naphtha, Coleman liquid fuel, same stuff) does not so much eliminate gunk as dissolve it, thus redistributing it ("it" in this case is the original lubrication) to parts of the mechanism that may have "run dry" through the passage of time, and wear. If you want to remove gunk with Ronsonol, you will need to wick it up with something (cloth, tissue, pipe cleaner, etc.) while the dissolved "stuff" is still in liquid form; it evaporates rapidly. Having said this, my experience has been that a good "soak" with R'nol while working the mechanism (mainly shutters, in my usage) achieves good results through the redistributive action described above. You may find that you need more than a drop to achieve your objective!

Naphtha, the key ingredient in lighter fluid may damage the bellows. Lighter fluid leaves a light oily film that many cannot detect.
As parts wear they leave micro fine particles of their base material in the surrounding area, if that area has oil or grease they stick in that material.
Depending on how much build up there is a flush may just cause the build up to migrate into larger clumps causing more restriction than was there. Oil that has dried to a sticky goo or hardened and grease that has dried out do not dissolve they just come loose form the base metal and float out if in the main flushing stream or redeposit somewhere nearby.
CRC Quick Dry Electronic Cleaner is safe to use on cameras as it will not damage any of the materials and is an excellent degreaser. It is available at a verity of stores.

This Dry Film Lubricant is replacing extra fine powdered graphite in my repair work.

I bought the du Pont dry film from Amazon and applied it yesterday for apparently only partial luck. Without doing anything other than letting it sit over night, Wow what a difference today! Red indicator has full travel from left to right. Maybe not perfect but way better than stuck.
