Are the slide locks for a 3x4 back the same as those for a 4x5 back?

No, I don't believe they'll fit, my guess is that the 3x4 arms will be shorter.

Whatever you do, by no means take the slide locks out of the back! They must have had a special tool that compressed the spring and held it in place while they slid the slide lock in. It is impossible to do with out that tool.

Does that mean you got the arm welded? or did you find a replacement arm?
Part of the _ of owning a Graphic is you get creative and inventive when it comes to repair work.

I got the arm welded, but could not get it re-inserted into the back. I ordered another back from the auction site. Should be here mid-week. Then off to get some CLA/TLC along with a couple of semi-working shutters. I sure am going to enjoy this camera once it is 100%.

You didn't pay attention to my post about wrestling with that spring
When I got my Anniversary Graphic I thought about taking the
back apart for a thorough cleaning, after examining the slide lock springs
I decided against it. I may do in the future, but right now I have
other Graflex diversions.
