I always use my 5 inch reflector in normal position for a 60 degree pattern. Does anyone know the pattern and extended range of this reflector when it is extended forward an inch?

According to the Graflite manual, the back (normal) position provides a 60 degree coveage and the stated flash settings provided for flashbulbs.

At the front position, the coverage decreases to 40 degrees and the central part of the subject will have increased illumination of 1/2 to one stop.

Thank you AlecJ. Does the manual indicate a new guide number or the maximum distance the flash can be used at in the 40 degree position?

I want to shoot Press 25 flashbulbs with my Speed Graphic at an upcoming sports event. Man do I attact attention with that camera and flash. (What's a digital camera ?)

Go to this site and look down the left side of the Home page. You'll find a lot of Graflex information there, including a copy of the Graflite Manual.
