My Crown Graphic (23) has a 101mm with a 30882-3 focus scale, but I would like to use 80mm & 65mm lenses with focus scales.

Does anyone know what number scales I should be looking for?

This doesn't answer your question, for I don't know whether Graflex even made a focusing scale for the 65 on a 2x3, but if they did (here comes an "IMO"---feel free to disregard!) I don't think it could be relied upon to give anywhere near an accurate, satisfactory result. Focusing the 65 on the ground glass with a loupe is an exercise in frustration because the focusing scale is so short, i.e., a tiny movement of the front standard makes a huge difference in the focus shift, therefore I'm having trouble believing that such a crude device as a focusing scale, even one (if it exists) that's specified for your 65 lens and 2x3 format, would give good results. But I'm prepared to be proven wrong!

Henry, Thank you for your thoughts, a valid point and I agree, there is not much movement to focus the 65mm. My idea was to use the scale as a guide and use the 65mm stopped down. I would like to have 65mm and 80mm focus scales only and keep the range finder calibrated to the 101mm. Then I could use the scales with the other lenses, and stop them down enough to get more in focus. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd like to try it out to see if I can make it work for me.

DWYNE, You might think about making your own scale for the 80mm lens.
I have a Century with the 80mm Schneider and the scale is very fine.
Sorry, but I don't want to remove the scales to look for numbers.
I "measured" the distance between the markings on the scales and I hope that they may be of some help to you.

Bed Scale
4'-6' 2mm
6' 8' 10' 15' 25' all less than 1mm
25'-50' 7.5mm
50'-100' <3mm
100'-Inf <3mm

Moving Index
Index -50' 7.5mm
50'-100' <3mm
100'-Inf <3mm

That is indeed the correct scale for your 101mm.

Graflex made 5 different scales for 80mm lenses. The numbers range from 30882-35 through 39.

They only made one scale for the 65mm lens, 30882-27.

Hope that helps.

Thank you much, I will keep my eyes open for those numbers.

It's funny I have one that is close to the number that's for the 65mm, it is 30882-26, but, it's not close.

Thanks again!

That's the longest of 4 scales for a 10mm lens.

OK, so if they made 4 scales for the 100mm and 5 scales for the 80mm and only one scale for the 65mm, I may be a very old man before I find one for the 65mm.

How about a 75mm? Did they make more than one for it?

More than one? Sorry - not even one. On the low end, there was one for 47mm, and one for 65mm. The rest were for 80 and above.
