Strange solenoid

Anyone ever seen a solenoid that screws into the cable release socket? Appears to be Heiland as that is the cable that fits it. I screwed it into a shutter with no sync and fired off a #5 and looking into GG it looked like it was in sync although I did not adjust it or know how. Russ

My King Sol pamphlet shows this solanoid in their flash kit for the Kodak Medalist. You can look it up at http://www.datelinelondon.de/files.php.
BTW, I was talking to Jerry at Paramount last week, and they can makle up synch cords for the Heiland/King Sol solanoids.

Thanks for the info, I have 2 old Heiland cords and although they work I could use some new ones. I will see what Paramont can do. Russ
