Freestyle is supposedly coming out with a new film. The prices seem pretty good. Nobody seems to know who makes it but the rumours are it's Foma. If anybody orders it before I do I'd love to hear what you think.

Hi All.

I just got off the phone with somebody from Freestyle, and they said that it's made by a big film maker in Hungary that starts with F so I guess which compnay Forma or Forte is in Hungary?

It will be Forte because Foma is made in the Czech Republic.
What speed did they say it would be?
You can get Forte 200 & 400 but they do, or have done 50 & 100ASA. I used the 100ASA 35mm a long time ago.
The dev time was not the same as a Western equivalent but the film seemed to be OK.

The .EDU film is available in 200 or 400 speed. They were telling me that the big problem they have right now is keeping it in stock! It seems that every time they get a shipment in it covers the backorders, leaving only a very little for stock. They said that they hope to have this problem solved soon.

I just bought a 100 sheet box of the 4X5 400 speed film, but can find no instructions. Anyone have an idea of a starting point for developing with D-76?

As soon as I shoot and soup some of this, I'll post the results.

Thank to everyone.

If you look at the right side of the freestyle web site, they have a devloping chart in pdf format. It's almost 2 megs in size if you're on a dial-up line...

For the edu 400 film, they say 7 1/2 minutes dor d76 straight and 11 minutes for 1:1...
