Graflex made a pair of springs for that
purpose--but they are near impossible to find! I think I have a pair of them in my parts box, but will have to find them to see what size parts camera they came from???
Your camera is a 2 x 3? Bert

thank you for your reply, bert. my camera is a pacemaker crown graphic with the GRAFLEX back which is currently set up to accept the 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 sheet film magazines. this particular back is currently secured to the back of the camera body with spring clips.i have tried to re apply the clips in every possible combination, but it seems like i need a different style. my reference book "graphic graflex photography" 1941, indicaters that this graflex back will accect the roll film holder...but exactly how is not shown or discussed. any continued help would be appreciated. scott b

Scott--Found the aux clips--after re'reading
your last post, am a little confused about the back you have on the camera!
The "FLEX" has a fixed bar on the bottom--
and a slider on the top! The "SPRING BACK",
has 2 LEAF springs, held in place by screws
"on center"--Have alternative to the aux
spring clips if you are interested--a better
way--via sketches and email!! Bert

Havent seen anyway to "attach" to this post,
Unless you have a problem with direct contact, think reg email would work the best!
I havent found the way to post photos or sketches, without cluttering up the helpboard
with a bunch of extra time consumming, back and forth chit chat! Sometimes a solution to a problem takes many questions and answers! I
appreciate that direct to the point solutions, are really more productive, than
makeing this forum a Chat Room!

Scott and I have exchanged some photos, kicked around some ideas about what he has, and what his options are! We do know that he has a standard Spring Back, on his camera!
The Aux spring kit was one option--but it has the drawback of>>only usefull to attach
roll back or Grafmatic, usefull life
with heavy use is limited, and ground glass
focusing is not possible without modifications to the original back! Have found that the roll film back is difficult
to install under the aux springs, without
dissassembly, and some tugging and prying!
Best to leave the roll back in place, once positioned! The second option of coarse is
the Graflok back--drawbacks>>expensive and hard to find! Bert
