Yep, my restoration continues apace, and maybe in the next week I will reassemble the camera. I've gone through TWO cans of industrial epoxy paint and a ream of wet/dry 150 grit sandpaper finishing the black metal parts. Okay, now for the question: when I received the camera, it was clear that many repairs had been made to over the years. The nomentclature tag had been riveted to thr outside of the front drop bed; seems like a logical place, but before I return it there, was just wondering if anyone could confirm to me if indeed tis is where it would have gone? I see no evidence it went on the body itself. Also, maybe later this week I will be asking for dates of manufacture from camera serial numbers, once I dig them out of storage. Time once again for my twice-yearly photography demonstration to my friend's highschool Humanities class. Want to get across to her students that my three cameras can cover mabe 30 years of manufacture, and the parts arestill interchangable: try and find that today!

Ann and Pace models with the metal front cover had the ser no tags inside the front cover,
The Pace had no aperture plate, but the Ann and Pre-Ann models had the aperture plate mounted in front of the winder assy, so it could be seen as you set the aperature! Bert

Yep, thar she blows, although stamped into the white box is "AC-41-10309" with an order number of W-535-AC-19809. Earlier run, I assume. The drop bed it was mounted to had chromed hardware (at some point the leather had been removed and replaced with black-painted canvas), although it was mounted to a camera with blackened hardware, serial number 323889. Earlier bed, later body, my guess. Am I wrong? Let me know folks. I want to know.
