I love my Pacemaker Crown Graphic but I'm still learning about its differences when compared to my trusty rusty Anniversary. The sports finder has me stumped! On the Crown, I can only get about 2" of it to pull up giving a 2"x5" window that doesn't line up with the peepsight which rises approx. 3-3 1/2"above the top of the camera. If I use it this way, I get a view of the sky---not much else. Is there a trick to using the sports finder on the pacemaker crown? Thanks! |

First, since you didn't indicate any movement of the peepsight, I assume you have the older finder which is rigid, not springy. Have you tried pulling up both the upper and the lower frame? They should both come up. If only one comes up, somethings stuck. From your description it sounds like you don't have the upper frame all the way up. Second, check the left side of the finder as it is pulled up. It contains marks for different distances. Once you see the infinity mark, it is all the way up.
You definitely should get more than 2x5.
If you've got the springy finder [sorry, but I can't think of a better term], the finder only has one position and distance adjustments for parallex are made on the peepsight. But, it too should be bigger than 2x5.
On the other hand, if you've got a special panoramic back, then you're set.

Thanks everyone! The illustration really helps---at least now I know what the thing is supposed to look like! Something is definately stuck. It looks like its time to do the manly thing and commandeer the kitchen table( move the turnips, Suzelle!) and perform exploratory surgery(....suction! ...WD-40!...all together on the count of 3, PULL!) Thanks! |
