Hi folks,
whereas the pocket size speeds are a little less described then the 45ers I just have some difficulties to date my darlings:
Serial no. (stamped into the body wood inside upper board:
354145 seems to be the newest one due to "new" Kalart, featuring focuspot option and "inverse" timetable (black writing on chrome)
292785
249977 old type Kalart
I assume, all three pre pacemakers (all graflex/spring type backs, also all three with the "old" fpshutter construction, using two visible mounting plates w/o seperate r/f switch). Is there any list to relate SNs to age?
Additional question:
Do the pacemaker 23 models feature drop bed, shift and tilt as described for the 45?
Thanx,
Martin |

Yes, they do.
| To add to what Alex has said, there IS shift, but not a lot. For sure 8 mm, no more than 10. Not sure what the longest focal length that will see the undropped bed is. Don't have to drop the bed for an 80 WF Ektar, do for a 65/6.8 Raptar and 65/8 Ilex. Unless you reverse the front standard -- I haven't done it -- the tilt is backwards and is used mainly to make the front standard vertical again after the bed has been dropped; this when the front standard is on the front bed, of course.
View cameras the 2x3s are not.
Cheers,
Dan |
