These lenses are mentioned quite frequently on this and other boards. I own and love my 90mm WA Raptar, but different postings, on various boards give conflicting information. Some sources say the 90mm Raptars are of similar construction as the WF Ektars. A double gauss 4 element air spaced design. While others give construction similar to the 90mm Angulon, a six element two group dagor. Not that it makes much difference, it is just a couriosity, but if anyone knows, or if you can point me to a source of information.

Thanks in advance.
Jonathan

Any Wollensak fans out there just dying to pull out an old catalog from their collection and let me know the construction of this lens? Or how about the 65mm f/6.8 Optar? There's got to be someone that knows.

The Lens Collector's Vade Mecum says it is a four glass gauss type. Why don't you take yours apart and put yourself out of one misery and perhaps into another?

Cheers,

Dan
