The small spring that applies pressure on the parallax control arm in the Top Mount Rangefinder/Viewfinder is broken. Good riddance! I have always found these springs to be weak (at least after 40+ years) resulting in an inoperative or sluggish parallax control for the viewfinder. I would like to replace the spring but would prefer to use a substitute with a little more tension. I had attempted to tighten the original spring but it broke in the process. Has anyone out there found a good substitute? Worse case I could call Fred Lustig and purchase a new one but I'd rather use an alternative. |
