Does anyone have concrete knowledge on what exatcly the Speed-I-O-scope lenses were used for? They seem similar to the oscilloscope lenses Wollensak made. Indeed, the shutter is made by Wollensak for Graflex. However, the front cell can hardly be called a lens, it has no light bending/curving properties. In fact, the front cell look more like a plain filter than a lens. Also it has no back cell. Also, does anyone know if these were ever made with flash synch as well? I've perused the existing help-board topics dating from 2000, but have not found any conclusive data. Does anyone have product literature on these?

Cheers,

Rock

Have you ever heard of Evelyn Wood? Or Evelyn Woodhead's Sped Ridden course?

the Speedioscope is nothingmore than a shutter that went infront of a projector that allowed a variable short time projection of a word, or outline of a jap plane, boat or torpedo.

the proper term i believe is Tachioscopic reading

No reason to have flash sync.

The machine is called a tachistoscope. The topic takes me back to 12th grade. Saw one at the local flea market today, didn't even ask.
