I am looking to buy a Polaroid back for my Century Graphic, for which I use RH10 back. I looked through the articles and the 405 seems to be what I am looking for, however before I make any purchases I have a few questions.

First of all would this back suit my camera? Whenever it is listed it is stated that it is a back for 4x5. Also it is sometimes listed with a camera brand name it is intended for. I assume it has to do with the attaching it to the camera, so I would like to know which camera brand would I be looking for? And finally I only managed to look at the samll resolution photographs of the back on the internet, and I can not figure out how it would be attached to the camera.

Does anyone have an experience with this camera and Polaroid back?

Thanking you in advance,
Charlotte

Charlotte,
Your Century is a 2x3, the 405 holder is a 3x4 film pack holder made to fit on a 4x5 Graflok back!
I am not aware of any 2x3 Polaroid backs available on the market, at least, I have never seen one!
Have a nice day.....Bert

Charlotte, I've never pursued one, but I believe that Horseman offered a polaroid back for their 6x9 cameras. If I were you, I'd ask google to look for horseman and polaroid.

Be sure to check that the film for the particular Polaroid back is still available.
I seem to recall being offered at an extremely low price, a Polaroid back for my 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 Speed graphic back in the Eighties that needed the then already discontinued Polaroid "Swinger" film.

Dan is right - the only back that would put the film in register with the film plane was the Horseman. There were others, but a spacer had to be used in the setup since the actual filmplane was behind that of the camera for those backs.

There are threads on this in this helpboard, and in the earlier one.

Hi All
I know that this has been awile back but there is a Polaroid back on ebay
Item number: 270500177655
it was mine 2 years ago and works good
the Horseman Polaroid back can be made to work also
you do have to use a spacer behind the Infinity Stops & in front of the lens
standard then you can use the Rangefinder to focus it
