Hey,

I'm new to this board and I just bought my first Graphic View a view weeks ago. I think it's a Graphic View I and it has a spring back.

I also bought a Calumet 6x9 roll film holder. It doesn't fit the spring back. The film holder is to big for the back. It gets stuck in the spring back.

I thought that a film holder would always fit. Maybe I'm wrong.

To fit most types of rollfilm holders you will need to find a Graflok back for your camera. I'm not 100% sure if a Graflok for a regular Speed or Crown Graphic fits straight onto a Graphic View. Someone else help with that?

Cheers,
Bruce

The Calumt is a slip in holder and should fit just about any spring back. Tolerances do vary among the various cameras, however. If it gets stuck, the only reason why that I can think of is it's a touch too wide. If I were me, I'd dress the sides down a bit with a file. It probably only needs a very small amount dressed off to make it right. Look for any small defects in the mating surfaces along the sides. Dings, dents, burrs, tape residue etc.

Glenn, thanks for your brilliant idea.

I removed some plastic side bars on the top and the bottom of the roll film holder. It fits under the spring back now.

I wonder if it will scratch the ground glass.
