I have the opportunity to buy a speed graphic with a 162mm graphic lens, and a crown graphic with a 135mm graphic lens. I'm not sure if the extra focal plane shutter is something I need, but should I opt for the Speed because of the lens? The cameras are around the same price range.
Thanks.

I prefer the Crown because of its lighter weight and I prefer the leaf shutter use over a focal plane shutter. The 135mm is my most used lens on the 4x5 Crown.

It's a toss up as to whether the 135 or the 127 is the most popular lens on a Graphic. But I say go with the Crown.

If you watch ebay closely, you'll find the majority of Pacemaker Graphics in 4x5 are Crowns. They were more popular back then for the same reason you should get one now. They are Lighter, can handle wider lenses, and are less prone to mistakes (having one lens closed while shooting with the other)
