Hello everybody

I have bought recently in Paris a Pacemaker Crown Graphic who was manufactured in March 1968 (serial number 984308 and manufacturing codeC8A) with a Xenar F4,5 150mm.
It is in very good condition except the leather hand strap and I want to change it.
Does anyone know where to get a leather hand strap (modern or old) ?
Sorry for my english language but I am french and I don't speak very well english.

Thanks in advance

I talked to Jim at Midwest Photo yesterday 4-10-06 and they are out of the camera straps right now but he is expecting them to come in next week.

Does anyone know if the replacements are leather or synthetic straps?

Scott

Hello Scott, Jack in Massachusetts here!
I have gotten brand new LEATHER straps for all my Graphics from Fred Lustig in Reno. If MidWest's handstraps are the same as Fred's then you should be happy with it. They are made to very closely match the old LEATHER Pacemaker straps, not the synthetic (vinyl) straps that you sometimes see on these cameras. Hope this helps!!

the hand straps that I have gotten in the past from Midwest were excellent leather copies of the late strap pattern. Most satisfactory.

Fred Lustig's straps are very nice, correct replacements.

Wow! Thanks for the information regarding the hand strap. I have a Crown Graphic coming that should get here on Friday and it is missing the hand strap. I can't wait till I get the camera. I think I feel a cold coming on, maybe I'll be sick on Friday Does Fred have just about everything needed for these cameras? I think I'm going to need at least one more set of infinity stops.

Thanks again,

Scott

You're welcome!!!

Yes, there isn't much Fred does not have. He once told me he has parts enough to build MANY Graphics from scratch.

BTW, very nice photographs on your site!!!
They really are an inspiration to me to get out of my winter hibernation and take advantage of our many New England Spring vistas.
