Last year I printed some 4x5 negatives which had been taken (probably) with a Graphic in World War II. There was a shot of my friend's father posed with a Navy bomber (PB4Y)crew. I had gotten some 16X20 trays on E-bay and made some large prints. They held up to the enlargement really well! I have an old Omega D2 enlarger that I shoehorn into my bathroom! Any fellow history buffs out there?

Not a history buff, per se, but I do enjoy finding and printing old negatives.

Ah!The old PB4Y "Liberator"bomber, helped to win World War II,both in the US Army and Navy versions.Modified to PB4Y-2 by the Navy to become the "Privateer",and saw service in Korea dropping flares.

Splendid looking aircraft.Seeing a formation of these, you knew you were in for trouble.

You are working with history in your dishes.

Yep.
I shoot WW II re-enactments with a Anny Speed, Contax, Rolleiflex, and Kodak Medalist equiptment, and print on a Kodak Miniature Portable enlarger and a D2. I have vintage Wollensak and Ektar lenses for the enlargers, and the Kodak can be set up to run on 12 volts for field use. (it was part of the PH261 'darkroom in a box').
Every now and then I get some negs from a vet to print up, but never 4x5.
