Yes...good stuff. And it echos what people used to say in opposition to 35mm
One sad truth is that with the new 12, 16, and 22MP digital cameras and backs (note especially Mamiya and Hassleblad), the technology has finally surpassed film in all visual respects. Worse, although these new cameras cost in the vicinity of $10K to $50K with a few lenses, that's actually AFFORDABLE to many professionals (assume mere $200K incomes, leases on the cameras provide tax deductions rather than simple expenditures). |
